| NFRIA empowers students, government agencies, legislators,
environmental organizations, research groups, and others who are interested
in watershed resources by providing useful information about the North
Fork River. |

| NFRIA acquaints grades K-12 with activities and information
about watershed health and resources to encourage youth to become
stewards of the river. |

| Radio interviews, news releases, public
meetings, and presentations to interested community groups are used
to distribute information about the water used to fish, boat, swim,
irrigate crops, and water livestock in the North Fork Valley. |

VISION Community School:
Water Works! Seminar

VISION home school students attended a workshop
in February of 2003 that emphasized Water Resources
|

The seminar included two field trips:
- The history, geology and morphology of the North Fork
- Hotchkiss Waste Water Treatment Plant
|
|
Topics covered include watershed definitions and
health, history and ecology of the North Fork, water quality, and
water conservation.

North Fork Community Montessori School:
Every Other Week Water Resources
|
| River Outreach & Education Program Coordinator Teresa

week using hands on activities and projects. |
